A Warm Welcome

Welcome to the new Murphy's Law....

A local Athlone family, The Kellys, opened Murphy's Law on Pearse Street in March 2013. After 5 years in Pearse Street the Kelly's ventured for a change where they set out a challenge to open a new bar in town.

The Kelly Family connections with the town go back to their late Grandparents, Kieran & Bridgie Gavin, who resided in St Kierans Terrace. This was the first housing scheme undertaken by Athlone Urban District Council in 1905 at the cost of £105 each.

Murphy's Law is now open in the centre of town opposite Athlone Town Centre on Mardyke Street. You can also access Murphy's through the back entrance where you can park at the rear of Dunnes Irishtown's Car Park.

Murphy's Law now features an open air Beer Garden, large bar with seating area and bar food. Also adding 'Upstairs @ Murphy's' to our family, we welcome a large seating area where our team will offer our bar menu and burger menu where you can relax and overlook the beautiful town of Athlone.

During your visit we hope you enjoy our wide selection of beers, live music and homemade food.

All ingredients in our kitchen are of local source helping to support other local businesses.

The Kelly Family and Staff would like to thank you for visiting us and hope that everything here in Murphy's Law meets with your expectations. If there is anything we can do to enhance your visit, just let us know.

     All The Best,

              P.J. Kelly
